Changes
to the Maximum Entry Age Rules for Air Traffic Control Positions
The Secretary of Transportation has
changed the maximum entry age rules for air traffic controller positions. Under
a new authority delegated to the FAA by the Secretary, the FAA has established a
program for hiring certain retired military controllers. Generally, hiring into
the air traffic occupation is expected to be very limited. However, if and when
we do advertise positions for outside applicants, retired military controllers
may now be able to apply. Click on new
